About City Aurangabad Maharashtra

Aurangabad city is well known for its historical places, where lots of people come from far away to see and enjoy the historical caves, Heritage Sites and many other historical monuments. Aurangabad is known as the City of Gates. Aurangabad is a capital city of Maharashtra. Because of the most historical places with the historical hubs around it, Aurangabad was declared as the Tourism Capital of Maharashtra as well as India. Aurangabad means ‘Built by the throne’. Aurangabad is situated at the Maharashtra’s Northern side and India’s western region. As the Aurangabad is placed beside the Kham River, plays a role of district headquarters of the state. In 1610 A.D. Aurangabad was founded by the Prime Minister named Malik Ambar of Murtaza Nizam Shah of Ahmadnagar on the site of khadki that is a name of a village. With passing the time the village Khadki grew with the population and become a city. During 1926, Malik Ambar died and later his son named Fateh Khan changed the name of Khadki into Fatehnagar. In 1633, the imperial troops captured the Daulatabad, Nizam Shahi dominions as well as the Fatehnagar under the Moghals. Mughal Prince named Aurangzeb was second time appointed the viceroy of the Deccan. After becoming the capital, Fatehnagar changed its name as Aurangabad. Sometime Aurangabad is known as Khujista Bunyad by Aurganzeb’s reign’s Chroniclers.

 

During 1724, Turkic general named Asif Jah and Mughal’s in the Deccan region named Nizam al-Mulk with the intention to enhanced, established own dynasty, decided to be separate from the crumbling Mughal Empire and made Aurangabad his capital. Nizam Ali Khan Asaf Jah II, his son transferred the Aurangabad to Hyderabad while the Maratha rule came in 1795. But Maratha ruled for eight hours only and later Nizam of Hyderabad ruled over the city that was happening under British East India Company, which was followed during the second Anglo-Maratha War British victory. The city was known as Aurangabad during the time period of British Raj and under the British Raj, Aurangabad was known as the part of Princely State of Hyderabad. Till 1956, Hyderabad state was part of India later become the part of Bombay state the newly formed bilingual. During 1960, came into the existence to be a part of Maharashtra state. In present, Aurangabad is known as the city under Maharashtra.

 

Aurangabad Economy: According to the economy condition, Aurangabad is one of the developing cities. Because of the colleges and universities the city serves as the fastest growing location in the sector of IT and manufacturing. Aurangabad developed as a trading hub from last four centuries hub.
Aurangabad Financial Services: With the establishment of Central Bank of India in Hyderabad state on 19th of February 1932, the modern baking services were started. Till the first decade of the 21st of century, there were many banks were opened such as State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, Union Bank of India, Bank of India, State Bank of Hyderabad, ICICI Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Deutsche Bank, Citibank India, etc.
Aurangabad Industries: As the city is famous for the silk, cotton textile production Centre. Paithani silk Sarees can be found in Aurangabad. The art of Himroo textile can be found only in the industry of Aurangabad. Chikhalthana MIDC, Waluj MIDC and Shendra MIDC are counted in the major industrial area. Under the DMIC, the new industry named Shendra – Bidkin Industrial Park is developed. Aurangabad is the third in the cities who host Marathwada Auto Cluster that is an auto cluster.
Aurangabad Local Administration: Local administration area includes the AMC (Aurangabad Municipal Corporation) which is divided into the six zones. The AMC was founded in the year of 1936, The AMC takes the responsibility of providing basic drinking water, drainage facility, street light, primary schools, road sites, healthcare facilities and many other which are made for the development of people.
Aurangabad Judiciary: The Aurangabad Bench of Bombay High Court was founded in the year of 1982. In starting there were few districts of the Maharashtra were under this bench, in 1988, other districts as well as the Ahmednagar attached with the bench. The Aurangabad Bench is over to the districts such as Ahmednagar, Osmanabad, Aurangabad, Latur, Dhule, Parbhani, Jalna, Beed, Jalgaon, etc.
